Wow wow wow! I love making clocks but this never occurred to me! This one was done using a cork tile as the backing.
Great present idea too!

What a great idea. You could match colors, stitches to go with the afghan on the chair, and the cushion on the couch…
OK… that is just a neat idea… lol
Very cool. I am reading Yarn Harlot’s latest book. She has a lady in there that actually knit a boat.
My LYS has one! I find it extremely difficult to read. If you make one, make sure you get enough contrast between the color of the stitching and the hardware. ![]()
This is so cool. Who would have thought…
 Brilliant!:cheering:
And I love buttons too…adding to my infinite to-do list~
Thanks for sharing!
what a cool idea!!
That is one of the coolest things I have ever SEEN!!! I have to try that…thank you so much for sharing!!!
That is pretty cool. I may just have to try that.
AWESOME!!! What a fabulous idea!!!
Cool! Great idea! Can I get the pattern from the site too or is this just the picture?
It doesn’t really have a pattern, it’s just a square of whatever size you want! Looks like a seed stitch border. It’s from Craftster though if you want to see it.

so…the clock works?:??
You can buy the inner workings of a battery operated clock at a place like Michael’s or Joann’s. You would take a board and make a hole in the center, with the works in the back, cover the board with your knitting (spray glue would work well) and then attach the buttons or numbers. Et voila!
Madame you can buy clock kits They come with a battery pack and arms. I’ve never had a problem with them not working. My Dad used to make clocks out of almost anything.
nice:thumbsup:
I knit a clock once, sorry no pics, for my German class. We were learning to tell time in German so we all got to make clocks and I decided to knit one. Got extra credit too for added time put into the project. Personally, I think she just gave me the points.

Great Idea. Where do you get the clock part of it?
As mentioned, most craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael’s sell them. I’m not sure but I think you can also find them at Wal Mart. I’ll be going there today to find out.
What a fantastic idea - thanks so much for posting that!
