Please could somebody help me. I have started knitting a rabbit angel from Debbie Bliss’s book Toy Knits and I’m already having problems with the first leg. Pattern says K7 cast off next 13 sts k to end. Work 9 rows in st st; inc one st at each end of 2nd row. 16 sts. I don’t understand how to knit across the 13 cast off stitches or do I knit each side separately? I have knitted sweaters before (and even socks) but never animals. I want to learn because I have recently become a grandmother and was hoping to knit the farm and all the animals that appear in the book! Thank you to anyone who can help me
Knit each side separately. It’s similar to knitting the sides of the neck on a pullover where you have cast off some center stitches. You might read further in the instructions and see if they give more specific directions, otherwise join a new ball of yarn for the second leg. Have you knit the body and are now starting down the legs?
Thank you very much - I really don’t understand the pattern at all and there are no draeings ot go with it. This is the first of 2 separate legs and the body, arms, head and ears are all knitted separately. A friend has suggested that I start with the ears first as they should be easy. Anyway, the rabbit is sweet and I’m determined to succeed. Thank you again for your help
