I agree. I saw a number that I could see myself making.
I feel the same way…of course, I tend to feel that way about SO many projects that I think I could definitely knit from now to eternity and not finish it all…but that’s the fun of it, right?! :teehee:
those are some great patterns! I will have to pick up a copy

I go with Debkcs. I have a pattern buying issue at the moment. I have one slight complaint about the magazine. You see all those lovely garments for women AND ONE bland ( I think ugly) sweater for a guy. I an a lone female unless you count one female kitty among a house of men. Unless I knit for only myself then I need things a guy would wear. All magazines including this one are sadly lacking in the area of things for men:???::shrug:!!!
:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:
You are right. Now that i have stopped drooling (i want to make the majority of those patterns for msyelf if not my female freinds/relatives) i took a second look and realised that tehre was only one male pattern and it was a bit ‘blah’. I know that there are mroe styles available for women, and that women are happier with colour/pattern than men, thus increasing choice even more, but surely more than one in thirty should be for men. I suppose one or two of the hat patterns could be male friendly but thats not quite the same is it?
however back to the drooling! i like:
opulant raglan
ahlstrom bodice:happydance:
michaelmass mittscloud9
riding to avalon:heart:
abbess pullover:yay:
burnished tunic:thumbsup:
snowflake jumper:inlove:
obverse jacket:yay:
double cap :yay:
dirndl raglan cloud9
kodiac bag :yay:
spontaneity vest
Kaftan Dress
Brocade leaves pullover
Inari Skirt
Kimono socks :happydance:
Some how i don’t think i am goign to get them all knot this year … or next year … or the year ofter. oh well!
Wow…I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes a LOT of these patterns! It is sad that there aren’t as many good looking patterns for men…I mean, I see some that I like (there’s a Honeycomb Sweater from IK that I want to make for DH) but not nearly as many as I do for me. It seems like there isn’t as much detail put into the men’s sweaters…
OH man - that’s got me excited now - I’m going to be keeping my eye out for mine in my mail box! It should be coming soon I guess?
Whadda you wanna bet??? :teehee: :teehee: :teehee:
I think a lot men are not very adventuresome when it comes to clothing. My husband wouldn’t dream of wearing a sweater at all. I made him a pair of socks this winter, he picked the yarn and pattern ( k2,p2 ribbing and stockinette body) and his comment was " They don’t feel the same as the socks you get me at Costco." There’s no way in hell I can make socks that are nylon and as thin as men’s dress socks, I also wouldn’t be able to see the stitches in a black yarn.
None of my friends husbands would wear knitted items either.
I really want to make the bordeaux jacket, but i don’t crochet well. It would take me ages to make! I also like riding to avalon, reticella vest (again with the crochet!), burnished tunic, nubby cardigan, snowflake jumper, dirndl raglan, and inari skirt.
I think I like the obverse jacket, but it is REALLY hard to se what the shape is with the stupid belt. :\
(sorry for the bold, I can’t get it to just bold the names, it wants to bold everything :()

There are some really great patterns in here…I’d love to have a
copy! I don’t suppose I could bribe anyone in the U.S. with yarn
or chocolate (or both) to get me a copy and send it?
