Knitaly07: pictures from the front (and the back)

Hi, everyone. I just returned from leading 19 knitters on a workshop, tour/retreat in Tuscany. Please take a virtual tour by strolling past my photos found here: http://www.janethornley.com/blog/index.php/site/KnittersCorner/

Thanks!

Jane

I used to live 30 miles from Venice, Italy and would get on the train for a day in Venice often. I love, adore Italy and northern Italy most and miss it so much.

They have the most wonderful foods in the world… and their yarn is yummy.

I’m glad that you had a good time-- I just felt so at peace when I lived there- not a drop of Italian blood in me… but, I felt at home.

Thanks for sharing. What a wonderful trip and it involved kintting. What could be better.:knitting:

What an experience!! How lucky =)

glorious colors, joy, and surroundings!! give us the approx. prices for the next trip

Thanks, everyone. We had such a great time and miss the commeraderie of Knitaly family. It’s so satisfying being on an adventure with people who share your passions.
Here’s the thing: I don’t think I’ve eaten so much in my life and yet I lost 2 pounds! Blame that on the Tuscan hilltowns. The entire country seems build on an incline. Anyway, hits on the tour included a visit to Chianti Cashmere and the day when Maria (formerly a knit designer from Prada), arrived to show us her work. That will probably be the only time I’ll ever get to wear designer goods (who am I kidding: the only thing that fit me was a purse!).
Anyway, I’m currently updating the information for Knitaly08 over the next couple of weeks here: http://www.janethornley.com/blog/index.php/site/Knitaly/ Check in a week or so for specific details.
