"Knit This" summer shawl pattern

Hi. New to this forum and relatively new to knitting. While cleaning out the black hole (AKA my computer/craft/plant room), I came across one of those “Knit This” kits for a summer shawl. It’s basically a triangle, with the front 2 points more narrow that the back point - looks very similar to the Frugal Knitting Haus Easy Knit Shawl on this site, but perhaps smaller and shorter, I don’t think you’d be able to tie the ends together.

Imagine my gross disappointment when the included instructions were for a pet bed and pet mat! Can’t find any info on maker to look up their pattern and am not familiar enough with yarns/needle sizes to wing it. I would make another shawl, but don’t know if I have enough of this yarn to complete it (180 yds of kind of nubby yarn, looks similar to Bernat’s Bling Bling, no idea about the weight). It was to be done on 10.5 needles.

Does anyone have this pattern or possibly a similar one that might work?

TIA, Valerie

Hi Valerie! Have you checked these out? There’s one called Party Triangle that sort of sounds like what you mean, maybe too small though.

Also, I just posted this site yesterday that I found: they have some beautiful free patterns:

You could easily make a shawl like I just did… use the grandmother’s favourite dishcloth pattern! Start off with the 4 stitches, and keep on increasing until you are nearly out of yarn… cast off the next row.

thanx for the great sites and suggestions. actually, i like the party shawl AND the dishcloth pattern idea - darn, i guess i’ll have to try them both
