Knit the Knits and Purl the Purls

I had the same question. I understand knot thr knits and purl the purls, but what do you go with the yarn overs?

Your pattern will often tell you what to do with the yarn overs. Sometimes the wrong side rows in lace will be all purl including yarn overs for knitting flat or knit if working in the round. If there are no other directions the default is to purl the yarn overs when working flat and knit them if working in the round.
