I saw the post that was on earlier about the new patterns out on Knit Scene. Well, I was THRILLED today when I got my magazine & noticed the picture was different than the web page’s front cover. OK - maybe they have different covers. No - none of my patterns in the magazine are the same from the web page.
Is this right? Its like a whole different magazine. I thought the ones on the site where the ones in the magazine.
My magazine has Plus Size Model Christine Alt on it & it says Fall 2008. I’m so confused???
Did you refresh the website? This link shows the Fall 2008 issue http://www.knitscene.com/issue/Fall-2008-Projects.asp
This is weird-- that certainly is not Carol Alt on the cover on the website, and it does say Fall 2008 on the cover-- I enlarged the page to make sure. Hmmmmm. . .
It’s possible they use different covers, some magazines do that. Or is it KnitnStyle or Creative Knitting that becjo actually received?
I checked Creative Knitting and KnitnStyle-- and for good measure, also Interweave Knits and Knitters Magazine, Knit.1 and Vogue knitting-- nothing that comes even close. Not to mention, the first 2 list their issues by month, not season. Going even further, I did a search on Carol Alt and Knitting and Cover and came up with nothing. Even went to her website and nary a hint. So I’m stumped. Becjo, can you shed any more light on this?
Is it Carol Alt or Christine Alt? A google serach for Cristine Alt Cover turned up a areferenace to Knit Simple’s Fall issue.
You’re a genius!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: That has to be what she was referring to!!!
Wait. The new Knitscene is being sent out now? I thought it wasn’t being sent until July 22? Now I’m the one who’s confused. LOL I preordered it but thought I wouldn’t get it for quite a while.
OOPS!!! Sorry guys - I thought it was the Knit Scene. I guess if I read it a little closer (a tad bit embarassed) - but mystery solved!
And sorry I wasnt able to answer sooner - holiday weekend - away from the computer!
Man - you guys can solve ANY knitting question - can’t you!
OK - going to bury my head in the sand now from a red face!
