I think your transmitting is just fine. It’s probably my receiver that’s down.
Try an advanced search on Ravelry. You can specify the yarn weight, the age, gender and type of garment. It’s a good bet that just what you want is there. The advanced search is right under the pattern box on the left.
You might also try searching some of the pattern and yarn companies like Sirdar and James Brett, Cascade and Drops. Do you have a local yarn store?

Kinda. Looked up bolero. If it was longer, it would be fine. Making more length is not an issue but finding it for a 9 year old, perhaps?

Boleros come in lots of styles, some longer, some with collar, some with sleeves although I see you want sleeveless. Perhaps it gives you another option in your search

If you hadn’t said vest / sleeveless implied I would of thought you were asking for a child’s waterfall cardigan pattern, but the last pic you were sent reminded me of a vest I have that was mine circa 1977 that was hip length ( so not a duster length) that was crochet. But as I type this did you mean a sleeveless duster open in front I have seen a few on Instagram made out of crochet squares for adults.
