Knit Picks circs?

I wanted to buy some sock circulars and I love Addis, but they are so expensive for a newbie sock knitter! How are KP’s??? Any opinions? Or should I just splurge and get the Addis? I bought ONE Turbo and one regular plain Addi, and there is a huge difference! I love the addis so I want something close at least  Thanks guys

Go to the top of the page and click search and then type in “Knitpicks Options” or “Options” and you’ll get a whole bunch of threads about them. The consensus is that they are loved. :teehee:

sorry…I should have said the Classic Circulars (for socks)…thanks though

People really like the circs for making socks…the cord is thin and flexible. So go for it! :muah:

They are pretty much the same as the Options except that they aren’t interchangeable. Same cord and nice pointy tips.

They are still Options though with the same needle tips and cord, just not interchangeable so searching will still get you answers.

okay now I feel dumb…lol…thanks so much, that really made up my mind to order them

:teehee: Don’t feel dumb! I ordered (and received) one set of cords and two size needles just to try first. I recently tried them and I do like them!

They are still Options though with the same needle tips and cord, just not interchangeable so searching will still get you answers. ;)[/quote]

Technically, the interchangeable line is called “Options,” while the smaller-size, fixed length circs are called “Classic Circular Needles.” I’m guessing the name difference is due to the fact that you don’t have the “option” of using different tip and cord combos with the classics. They both feature the same cords and pointy tips and work just as well, though. (I’ve seen people calling the classics and even the DPNs “Options,” so  – I think we all knew what you meant when you said you were interested in making socks.)

You’re right, Jane. :teehee: However her original questions was if anyone had tried them and since they are technically the same she could get answers to her questions by searching for Options. I should have been more clear I guess. :teehee:

oh it’s okay, you actually answered what I wanted to know…if the classics were just like the options
