Knit Picks Andean Silk

Anyone ever try this yarn out? I’m about to order some, but I’m really kinda surprised at the price. It’s extremely cheap for the fiber blend. What’s the deal here, are there some corners being cut that I don’t know about?

Hi- I’ve knitted a sweater and lap size afghan with Andean Silk & Andean Twist and have been happy with it. So much so that I ordered more Andean Silk for another sweater. It’s reminds of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino. Order & enjoy!

I’ve heard that it can stretch and/or pill a lot. Check out threads at knittyboard.com too.

Someone went on a :!!!: about it today on this forum, but I’ve never had any problem with it outside of a little shedding.
