Hi Gmmarton .

Thanks for the info. I have made close to 80 hats for the campaign in the UK.
I will make some more and post them .

Thanks Julie for the the link . I have saved it to desktop. All the info and the address is all there:)

Your welcome Rita:hug:

Thanks for the info. I am trying to find a Canadian link but cannot find the Knit One, Save One on the Canadian Site.

Thanks to the ladies who have responded to my thread and added links for the Save the Children - Knit One, Save One Campaign. I participated in their last campaign back in 2006 and the results were truly amazing. One of the parents at the school where I teach is a Child Survival Specialist for Save the Children. He said the staff here in CT was overwhelmed by the generosity and creativity of knitters and crocheters during the 2006 campaign.

Congratulations to those of you who have already participated in a similar campaign in your native countries. :yay: I can only believe that all around the knitters and crocheters will continue to respond to the call to help the infants of the world. It is heart-warming to know that one little baby hat can make a difference in someone’s quality of life.

gmmarton,Thank you for posting Knit One Save One

For anyone who is interested, I got this email from Save the Children Canada:

We will be running a campaign that will launch on November 1, but it will be for children of all ages, not just newborns and will include blankets, scarves and sweaters as well. I will send out an email that explains it a little closer to the date, and it will also be posted at www.savethechildren.ca <http://www.savethechildren.ca/>

I hope to participate in that.

Thanks Sue:cheering: Maybe now some Canadians will join this great cause:woohoo:

Julie your hats are lovely and i cannot tell that the yarn has been made from plastic . How great is that ? Does it knit and feel nice?

Thanks so much for the link Sue

Thanks Rita:hug:
It feels and knits exactly the same.:woohoo: Of course I haven’t washed it yet. Sure hop it washes and drys the same.

I have my fingers crossed . If it does wash and dry well then at least you will not get caron yarn withdrawal. I do not want to see you climbing the walls .

The hats are cute Julie. Glad to hear that the new yarn feels good.

I will make another post when the Canadian campaign starts. It keeps costs down when mailing within your own country.
