can i take a pattern whose instructions are supposed to be knit in the round, and just knit it flat and then sew it up?

(it’s for a stuffed doll)

seems to me like it would work, but i wonder what people more experienced than myself would say.

I think you could do it, but it would help to see the pattern to give you more specific information. Is there a link or at least a picture?
