I have a pattern —>http://knitting.about.com/od/accessories/p/vegas_armwarm.htmthat says Knit in knit one, purl one ribbing for four more rows. What does knit in knit one mean?
Thanks in advance
You’re breaking up the instructions too small. It means to knit in k1,p1 ribbing for 4 rows.
Oh oops, hehe…what does it mean though? To knit in k1, p1 ribbing for 4 rows. How would I do that?
knit can = 1 knit stitch
or
knit can =“work” a stitch(in knit or purl)
so knit in K1, P1, ribbing for X inches/rows
means
WORK in K1, P1 ribbing for X inches/rows.
you Knit up a piece… (a sleeve, a back, a hat) that is you Work a piece by knitting and purling…
its confusing… but it gets easier!
Oh okay I get it now!!! Thanks!
