Knit 1 through the yarn over?

Hey all!

I really hope someone can help with this. I’m working on a bag as a Christmas gift and I’m stuck. The pattern says ‘k1 through the first yo’ and then later ‘k1 through back loop of second yo’. Can anyone shed some light on this?

This pattern has a double yarn over on the previous row, is that right?
I couldn’t find exactly this stitch but this video comes close.


She’s knitting into a stitch but a double yarn over is really just one big stitch. She does k1 and then k1tbl and at that point you’ll want to slip the yarn over off the left needle and stop.

OMG! You’re right, there is a double yarn over in the previous round and I had completely missed that. Thanks, makes sense now
