This technique is new to me. When I need to unknit a stitch, I’m not sure which double strands to put back on the needle.
See if this video helps. It’s for fisherman’s rib which is worked with knit one below. This may not be exactly your pattern stitch but it’s a start.
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
Thank you so much! This is a huge help!!
I am using a pattern from PurlSoho under their free patterns. It’s called High Seas hat. The yarn is delicious (Super Soft Merino). In 15 years of knitting, I’ve not come across this before.
I so grateful I just joined this group!!
We are glad to have you join us too!
Very nice. The details page on Ravelry describes it as brioche but it’s really Fisherman’s rib. Have fun working it.
It’s a good stitch pattern to work with lifelines just in case.
Lifelines are great. I didn’t think of that. I will put one in now!!
The video for Fisherman’s rib was just what I needed! Thank you!!
Isn’t it great to learn something new! I loved fisherman’s rib when I first tried it (took me a while to understand, but worth it) the soft springy fabric of fisherman’s rib and brioche are both so cuddly.
I hope you’ll share pic of your hat when you’re finished.
