"Knit __ rounds/rows even"?

I’m knitting a bear on circular needles, working on his head. I just finished the increasing and came to the instruction to “knit 3 rounds even.” I have no idea what that means.
[The whole instruction says “Round 4 (increase): *K1, m1, k10, m1, k1, repeat from * around. (88 stitches) continue increase as established increasing every 2nd round by knitting 2 more stitches between each m1 until there are 96 stitches on the needle. Knit 3 rounds even.” Odd rows are just knit.]
Next it tells me to
Round 18 (decrease): *K1, ssk, k18, k2tog, k1, repeat from * around (88 stitches). Fine, I can handle that.
But a little while later I have to knit 1 row even. Huh?

(I do think the use of row and round is a typo and they mean the same thing…)

Thanks for the input, I’m sort of stalled until I figure this part out!

It means to knit without making increases or decreases - you’re keeping the stitch count `even’ or same as it was.

So, it’s a complicated way of just telling me to knit 3 more rows?

If they said it that way you might think you should repeat the previous rows.

Right. This way, it lets you know you don’t increase or decrease for 3 rows.
