I making pattern 5648 and wondered if you could help me please?
It says at beginning after row 7 of garter stitch, and after 6th row imcrease , this I can do …
But I am confused if after row 6 i knit upto row 17 for next increase or if I knit 17 rows after row 6 then increase or upto row 17 after 6?
Also it states increase on 4 and following 10 rows , so this again do I knit upto 10 rows after row 4 or do I knit 10 rows after row 4 then increase , it can be read two ways this pattern , I feel they could have made the words simpler on the increase part at the beginning.
Others on the forum have made this sweater. So nice to see it again.
Can you quote the rows exactly please? It will help us understand. Don’t give us a large portion of the pattern just the rows that are confusing. This is out of respect for the designer’s copyrights.
Ok, if the pattern says increase on the 6th row after row 7 then that is row 13. The next “6th rows” would be rows 19, 25, 31, 37, 43. Work the increases on those rows.
If the pattern says increase on row 4 and then the following 10 rows that would be increases on rows 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 and 14. Increase on each of these rows.
If it doesn’t work. please type in EXACTLY what the pattern says for those rows, or else take a photo of that section of the pattern and post it. It’s hard to advise when we can’t see what the pattern actually says. It’s not clear what you mean about “up to row 17”. Maybe you need to increase on every row, from row 7 up to row 17??
