King Charles Brocade Scarf Patter

Does anyone know of any? I too am attempting to knit a scarf for a guy and love this pattern, but have no idea how to make it come to life as a scarf with a complimentary border and such.

I didn’t have any luck googling, so if anyone has any suggestions on a pattern, please do share~
Although, i did come across one webpage where a woman made her husband a sweater with this pattern and used seed stitch for the ribbing and it looked nice. Here’s the picture:

I think a seed stitch border would look good with that pattern, if you like that. Then you just decide how wide you’d like it to be. You need to cast on any multiple of 12 and then add one more stitch. When I ‘wing’ a scarf pattern, I start casting on to the width I like and then adjust the number of stitches to fit the math of the pattern.

That’s a gorgeous stitch! I just looked through my Knitting Stich Bible but I didn’t see it. It does look good with the seed stitch border, I might even make that! Imgrid’s instructions are right on, I’d do probably 26 stitches coz I like a narrow scarf. Plus some seed on either side. Which should be divisible by 2 right, so maybe 8. Have to play around with this, maybe do a beginning sampler…
