Hooooray! :woot: I just grafted together lace panels for a shawl. I’ve done kitchener before, but nothing like this. 80 stitches baby! And I made it across on the first try (well, after a few false starts on the two set-up stitches)! That was awesome. It was kind of a rush, getting close to the end and realizing I had 8 stitches on both needles!
It’s a little tighter than maybe it should have been, but really, if I spread it out and you can’t see the yarn tails still to be woven in, it’s hard to find the grafting row. I’m hoping it will disappear after I block.
I’m really proud of myself right now this was kind of a milestone.
Now for the picking up of 640 stitches around the edge!
Congrats on the kitchener stitch. I tried and tried to teach myself that with books and never got it - took sitting with the LYS owner repeating her little montra…I find it’s like riding bike, once I got it I got.
Wow, I’m totally impressed. Did you sit in the closet with no distractions?:teehee:
Seriously, I do a toe sock around here and that’s when the phone rings, kids fight or something and lose my place.
