I have 23 stitches on each dpn (3 needles). They are so close to the edge! How do I keep the stitches from coming off while I knit? I decrease every 5th row so they will go down in time.
Keeping sts. on on the dpn's?
You can use a point protector, however, it sounds like you need longer DPN’s. They come in different lengths.
In general, I find bamboo DPNs keep the yarn on better. I only use bamboo because my stitches always slide right off the metal ones.
I prefer the bamboos as well, they just feel better in my hands, but when I’ve been using the dpn’s and had problems with them sliding off, the point protectors one on each end really do help if you don’t want to take the time to go buy longer ones
Yes, I only knit with bamboo. And I think it’s going to be fine. I did a full round and the sts. are staying on just fine. When I first transfered sts. onto the dpn’s, they were a little loose.
