K4Tog?

I’m trying to work a pattern that calls for knitting four together. Is there a hint are trick I need to know that will help me do this? It’s hard to make this stitch. I just thought though, maybe I could use a thin crochet hook to reach through, catch the loop and place it on the needle when it is to hard to do it with the needle tip. Any advice would be appreciated.

I’ve heard some people suggest just that; I’ve never had a pattern with k4tog.

You could use a crochet hook, but there is a better way.

Knit the first stitch and slide it back onto the tip of the left needle.

Then lift the other stitches over that stitch and off the needle, one at a time, or all together–whatever’s easier. Then slip the stitch onto the right needle.

You can also slip 2 sts k2tog and pass the 2 slipped sts over.

THANKS! :muah: That makes sense, both suggestions. That’s what I love about this place. There is aways someone to help. Just wish that kind of info though was listed along with the pattern directions to start with. Everyone isn’t a pro right out of the box.
