K2TOG BL question

I know how to do this stitch… no problems there. I’m just wondering what this stitch would be the other way round…? I’m knitting a hat in the round and using a pattern designed on 2 needles. Because the yarn is expensive and I’ve never used circulars before I knit one in a cheap yarn of similar weight that I had lying around. I was very happy with the results but felt that these stitches seemed a bit raised and obvious. In retrospect I think these may have been knit on the wrong side and of course on circulars I’m knitting everything on the right side. I’m trying to figure it out and I think it might be a p2tog… but honeslty I’m not sure. Just thought I’d ask before I start the hat for real.

Please don’t think I’m mad… I know it’s a wierd question. :thinking:

My guess that the opposite of k2tog tbl would be p2tog, also. One way to check is to insert your needle and get ready to k2 tog tbl, then turn your knitting around and see what it looks like from the other side. That would be the opposite, right? I wonder if you did it in a mirror if that would work? :thinking:
