HELP! I’m working on my first dishcloth and I don’t know if I’m just knitting too tight or if it’s from working with cotton (not as much give) or from using bamboo needles (not as slippery) but it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to do those 2 stitches. Everything is SO TIGHT that I can’t turn them! Any suggestions?? I’m going CRAZY!! :wall:
Since it’s a dishcloth, you could try to just knit the two together and purl the two together without going through the back loop.
Or, you can try working those stitches with a much smaller needle and then slipping the final stitch onto your working needle.
You don’t need to turn and reorient them on the needle, just put the rh needle straight through the back loop. Although you may be knitting too tightly, maybe try loosening up a bit?

when I do those stitches, I pull the working yarn through a little bit extra so they’re not so tight.
