K2P2 hat decrease on 2 circs

Hi
I am going to attempt my first decrease on two circs.

Do I knit/purl half the stitches onto a new needle or slip them?
if I slip them do I start with the left or right needle. Thanks

Just knit the stitches with the new needle.
