Hi all, I hope someone can help. I bought a hat glove set for my daughter but couldn’t find a scarf to match. I said I would knit one for her and found a pattern.
When I read the instructions part of it said ‘k1 p1 k1 all into next stitch’I have no idea what this means, how can you knit and pearl the same stitch.
I look forward to your help so I can start knitting.

The trick is, don’t pull the “old” stitch off the left-hand needle till you have finished all three operations. So put your right needle in to knit, pull it out with the yarn looped over it as usual. Then bring your yarn to the front between the needles and do a purl, into the same stitch again. Your original stitch is still on the left needle! Move your yarn between the needles back to the back, and knit once more, and now you can pull the old stitch off. You’ll have three stitches in place of one.
I just learned this from my mom yesterday and I was looking for a video to go over it again when I came across your question. I hope you found the answer already but if not there is a youtube video that should help.except it is P1,K1,P1, so you will just do the opposite (k1,p1,k1) .Go to youtube online and type in (P1,K1,P1) into the search box and it is the first video!..Hope this helps!!
While you guys are freezing over there we are melting here in Aust. The temp has and continues between 41-43°C (106-109°F) for this week. Maybe we could mix the cold & the hot and come up with something we can all enjoy. Afraid it’s a physical free zone here (Aust that is) for the next few days virtual ones are fine.
