Hi everyone. Great site- wish I’d found you sooner!
I’ve been knitting and crocheting for about 30 years, though only uncomplicated stuff really, and love it.
I’ve started knitting loo roll covers for fun presents and am on my 3rd which is a very cute Aran jumper! I’m just setting the panels and row 1 of one panel (only 7 sts) says:
K1, (p1, k into st below) 3 times
I have no idea how to “knit into the stitch below”! I’ve tried knitting into the bar before the next st but that incs by one and the panel is a simple rib panel with no inc anywhere.
Can anyone help me please? Thanks, Lisa.

Thank you! Wow that video is very clear. I did try that, but stopped short as I was sure I’d drop the st above - but it just works!
