Just Wanted To Introduce Myself

I’ve been here before but never formally said “HI.” I live in NYC, work in real estate, and am a beginner knitter. I’ve come here a couple of times and asked questions, and everyone has been incredibly kind.

NYC is having a “Yarn Out”…exhibits, lessons, all sorts of things in Union Square, all day Sunday. I can’t wait to go.

My first grandchild (so excited) is due in December. My DIL is a great knitter…she’s just one of those people who catches on really fast.
Not me!!! They live in Arlington, VA.

So, thank you for all the help you’ve given me…and I’m here to ask for more. Does anyone have a pattern for a baby kimono…wrap sweater. They’re so cute! I can do complicated stitches, I just have trouble following a pattern. Go figure.

I know they had a baby/toddler poncho posted here once. I don’t about a kimono but you can always search google for free knit patterns. I think the one I use is pattern central and you click on what item you want to knit…Hope that helps some…

What is this Yarn Out you speak of…Is it worth a 1 1/2 hour drive to go to??

(I realize that is a stupid question, but I have gone to a few fairs thinking the yarn selection would be awesome, but alas, I was disappointed)
