Hi, I just watched a video (a few actually) on Judy’s magic cast on- Magic! (yeah right!) Anyway, I am a little confused… After I do the cast on do I continue to alternate rows? It’s the after I am confused about- how do I continue? Am I now joined in the round? The pattern I want to make is for a cat- I found a cute one) but I need to learn how to do this to get started… my first round is knit, but my second round has some increases, and I just don’t quite understand if I keep alternating rows
Judy's Magic Cast On
Are you using magic loop or dpns or something else?
Yes, you can continue to knit in the round.
You can knit the following rows if that’s what your pattern calls for. If your pattern has you alternate knit and purl rounds then you can do that as well.
Here’s a video for Judy’s cast on with magic loop just for reference.
What is the name of your pattern?
I decided to do the pinhole cast on instead- I understand how to do it, and I always leave enough yarn to sew the hole (if it is visible)- this cast on made my head hurt- not that I do not want to learn new techniques… I watched several times
Looks good!
There are some useful notes here especially for rows 74 and 83:

Your download may have already incorporated corrections.
Should be fun to knit and great fun for us to see the results.
Thanks for drawing that to my attention! I am making it in Caron Latte cakes (Lovely Layers in Coconut Creme) and just a Patons cream color
