My pattern says to cast on 228 sts. on a circular needle and “join.” What is “jon”?
How do I do it? Thanks knitters, or as my father said, knit-wits.

To join, you will have your stitches cast onto the appropriate length circular needle, and hold the two needle ends in your hands so that the stitch with the working yarn coming from it is the first stitch on the needle in your right hand. So, when you knit the first stitch on the left needle using the yarn coming from the right needle, it joins it in the round.
Thank you for answering me so soon, I don’t know why I couldn’t figure it out myself, I am a new knitter I guess.
