Jaywalker socks question

i am making the larger size of the jaywalkers which requires 84 instead of 76 stitches. the pattern repeat is

“Round 2: *k-f/b, k7 (8), dd, k7 (8), k-f/b; repeat from * a total of 4 times.”

which is 19 stitches for one repeat. the pattern asks that you do four pattern repeats. which is a total of 76 stitches. there are 8 leftover stitches. when i do the beginning of the pattern repeat, i am adding a stitch, because the double decrease is not involved. what is up with that? will it work out in the end?

neverrrrr mindddd! i was thinking that the (8) in the instructions meant s total of 8 stitches which is dumb. i can’t believe how silly i’ve been about this pattern. i can do pomatomus but jaywalker has me in circles.
