I've spun the yarn, now I need help

I am getting the spinning down, but need help with the knitty knotty. I’m not sure how to wrap the yarn so when you take it off it’s all in a nice long loop. Every time I try, it gets crossed with itself, and I have to unwrap it and start over.

Help. :??

Okay, it is easy to do, but not so easy to explain.

Hold niddy noddy in your left hand. The top of the niddy noddy should form a “T” with the middle section as it faces you. Rotate the bottom part of the niddy noddy 90 degrees. (The tip of the bottom piece should be facing you). Now, holding the niddy noddy at the bottom, start your yarn at the bottom and bring it up and over the top left hand bar of the niddy noddy. Now your yarn will be at the back of the niddy noddy - bring it down and around the bottom of the rear lower piece - now up to the right hand bar and bring it across the top to the front again - down the front and around the bottom of the front lower piece. (One complete round) Then repeat again.

This is probably as clear as mud… :??

Actually I forgot about turning the bottom piece 90 degrees to the top. That was one of my problems I’m sure. Also, when sitting here yarn and knitty knotty in hand, your instructions are quite clear.
Thank you very much :sunny:

Yay!!! :cheering: I’m glad I was able to help!

Ugh. I grabbed one from the yarn shop today and can’t even figure out how to put the thing together. Kromski really could have included some sort of instruction pamphlet! I’ve got to get this yarn off the bobbins so I can stain them along with my wheel.

There is a video of it at: http://www.icanspin.com/noddy.htm

Thanks!
