I've finally GONE OVER THE EDGE

Last night I was sitting on the couch knitting. It’s a sweater I started this weekend with Schaefer Esperanza (color-Jane Adams), DH walked in and CAUGHT ME     . Caught me knitting you say, what’s wrong with that? Well, not exactly… I was knitting but I stopped mid purl to SMELL THE YARN and FELL the SOFTNESS against my face and he caught me mid sniff

He thinks I’ve lost my mmid, I offered to let HIM smell my yarn but he declined :flirt:

:roflhard:  :chair:

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:
Just tell him you were sniffing it to see if it needed washed before wearing. Also tell him you were feeling the yarn against your skin b/c if it’s soft to you cheek it should be soft to yourskin…

NExt time~ be a little more cautious~!!   :happydance:

LOL I hear ya! The man thinks I’m a little nuts too… (ok, maybe a lot nuts).
I point out the “darling” little bits of vegetation in a wool yarn with excitement. I get a kick out of being reminded that this wool was once worn by a real live animal! And I too smell my yarn and spinning fiber. I love the smell of wool… you know, that zoo smell? Smells like wooly goodness to me!

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

You mean I have to become a CLOSET sniffer?? I just LOVE the slighlty vinagery/wooley smell of handpainted yarn!!!

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :chair:

haha! I probably would’ve caught my boyfriend doing that without me! He loves to pet the yarn and put it against his face. It wouldn’t surprise me if he sniffed it either hahaha

Next thing you know, you’ll be hearing a news story on TV about the dangers of sniffing yarn. It will be the new “high.”

The warning might go something like this: “Be careful…it only takes one sniff to get hooked.”

:roflhard:

Hi, my name is GINNY and I AM a
YARN SNIFFER

Someone direct me to the 12 step program…

 :roflhard: :cheering:  :roflhard: :cheering:

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

OH there’s a problem with sniffing and petting? Dang! My poor DH has to feel every new yarn. Honey doesn’t this feel great!

:roflhard: :roflhard: :chair:
I have to say I am a yarn sniffer too. :hiding:

I’m not only a sniffer, but also a petter! Whenever I go to a yarn store with alpaca, I pet all the colors! It’s so addicting!!

:teehee: :teehee:

me too :cheering:
