(actually much of this part of NC is experiencing heavy rain)
and I hate it, although it is great weather for knitting:teehee:
It is a great day to stay inside and knit, if only i didnt have homework to do, a quiz to do, a calculator to buy…

It’s pouring here in Thomasville too.
My work is pretty slow today, so I’ve been working on a scarf for a birthday present.
It was also pouring here in Fayetteville/Hope Mills area too. We were under a tornado warning earlier, that expired at 9:30 am, but we’re still under a tornado watch until 5 pm today. Right now that sun is trying to come out, and they just said on the news that those areas where the sun is making an appearance will have to be on the lookout for more severe weather later this afternoon.
But hey, this is NC, if you don’t like the weather then stay around a few moments, it’s bound to change!
You guys are getting the last of that Fay thing we had all of last week. It made landfall four times in Florida and reaked havoc with flooding. :-x One town had 26 inches of rain.
It looks like Louisiana might be in for another hurricane in a few days. Hopefully, it will die out but it’s not looking favorable for that.
I want some rain! We’ve had some showers in the evenings…a little drizzling but we need MORE!!! Our lake is slowly drying up!!! Since we’re in the outboard repair business, the drought has reeked havic on our usually busy business this year and that trickles down to my yarn purchases… WAHHHHHH!
I work in High Point. The roof is flat where I work so we were busy placing water buckets in our office!!
It’s raining in VA all day too !! While I kinda want to whine about walking the dogs in the rain 2x today I can’t. Our yard is brown and I have lot of trees/bushes that I have planted over the last few years that were in need of a good drink not to mention our new fence was dry set in concrete so the slow soaking rain will set the fence posts without me draggin out the hose. I gotta say :woohoo: :woot: :cheering: :yay: :happydance: for the rains.
it stormed all night…many streets/roads closed… Apts/homes flooded people evacuated by boats. we now have 1.5 inches of rain over the drought level… :yay:
We had all day and night rain for several days in Alabama, but we needed it. It was from Faye.
