I got the Options I’ve been dying for, a size 3 circ (just something I needed ) the set of double ended crochet hooks (I am forever losing my crochet hooks!), the ball winder (can’t WAIT to try that out!) and 4 skeins of the Andean Treasure (100% Baby Alpaca) - 2 each in Moss and Granite Heather. I wish I ordered more of that…it is SO soft - I just can’t wait to knit with it! I hate to order blindly though…I like to get the feel of the yarn first
I SO want to go home and play with my new toys, but alas, it was my DS 18th B-day last week and as my DD was off visiting CA and Las Vegas, we put off the family celebration for tonight, so it’s off to Olive Garden for dinner. I must, must, must get through what I currently have OTN so I can start something with all my wonderful new things!!
Yeah! :yay: Now, do check each of your needles and cables by screwing the needles on. If you find a problem contact KP and they will promptly replace anything.
Oh lucky! I can’t order anything online, nor purchase anything new atm because of finances. T.T I’ve found patterns that are buy only (like that lovely Chinook Shawl from KP and the various yarns to go with it) and yarn selections that I just can’t afford right now. I probably have enough yarn to last for a little while, its just a small color selection. Black, multi (either black and green or blue and green), soft blue, and blue. I did find one skein of white and one of soft lavender (thought it looks like a soft pinkish rose).
sigh Perhaps in due time. So enjoy your purchases and I’d loveto see what you make with them. ^.^
The yarn looks beautiful! Let me know how the double ended hooks work out as I have never used them and was thinking of buying some. I have regular hooks for my crochet but no doubles. My afghan hooks look like knitting needles with a hook on the end.
I have the double ended hooks and I like them. They aren’t my favorite shape for crocheting, but they are fine for picking up dropped stitches.
I have some old hooks which were my mothers that I use to pick up sts. The heads have a flatness which holds the yarn instead of the roundness of most hook heads.
Thanks for the tip Jan! I did check them all, and they were fine! I also tested out my ball winder and wound the 4 skeins that I bough - worked well too! I don’t have a swift and I didn’t wind the skein over a chair, but held it in my lap and fed it through - worked out pretty well. I’m sure I won’t be able to do that for all types of skeins, depending on how they are wound, but it worked for the KP yarn Now I have 4 pretty (but small!) cakes :happydance:
