I am a really new knitter- I made one small toy for my son so far.
From that project I have left over cotton yarn and wanted to make some house socks for daughter, who as of now is a toddler, as we have wood floors. I have looked at socks patters for about a few hours (15-20 mins over a few days) now and have come up with what I want for the socks, but am still unable to find a “pattern” which I am confident is what I am looking for in a sock. I was hoping someone might be able to enlighten me to to joy of making socks, and, or send me to a site that will give me simple instructions to make them.
What I want is a sock with no cuff, which my daughter will find easy to put on as there is no heal for her toes to get caught or to bubble if the sock is put on upside down, and is no sew. I see socks which are hemmed and so have a a seam, and toes with stitching or an “angled” line in the knit- this is what I am to avoid. I would much rather have something where it toe seems just like the slowly getting smaller. (I hope this makes some seance.) As for it being all knit or purl or mixed, I have no say, but simple would be great as I have two kids running around: it will get set down ALOT and I still new at knitting… lol.
I see all types of really great socks, but none like these… help?
TIA!
