Is this sock as huge as it seems?

I just finished this sock this evening and it seems huge. It’s for a size 11 shoe, but I dunno. I think I could fit both my feet in this one sock. Take a look here if you’d like.

It’s really impossible to tell when it’s not on the recipients foot, but it looks wonderful!

Take a picture with your foot next to it.

It’s looks big to me. Were you supposed to use size 5 needles?

I had a friend of mine try it on, who wears the same size shoe, and it fits him. So I can keep my fingers crossed it’ll fit my brother. It definitely doesn’t fit me, hehe. I have small feet and this one is for a size 11 guys foot.

Well that’s a relief! Aren’t you glad?

Yes, yes I am. I wasn’t sure what I’d do with one huge sock and I really don’t think I would have made another to go with it, hehe. I was a bit confused too, 'cause I measured gauge a couple times going through it since it seemed big then too and it worked. Maybe I just got paranoid over nothing. :oo: Thanks y’all

If it didn’t fit, you could have used it as a Christmas stocking, I guess.

 That’s true, a black christmas stocking is right up my older brothers alley. :stuck_out_tongue:

 Maybe you could have trimmed it with silver eyelash yarn!

Hehehe, true. I woulda had a reason to crochet, that’d make my Mom happy. :stuck_out_tongue:

 Looks good, I’m sure he will love them. I find that socks always look big to me after I’ve knit them. I then put a sock that I had made next to a commercial sock & the sock that I buy are always smaller than those that I make…I would suppose it has something to do with the constuction and the material that they are made with

Maybe, the socks I’ve made have all been thicker then the ones I buy, hmm.

Whew…glad it fits the friend, because the pic did make it look pretty big! Looks great though!
