Is this possible or anyone have suggestions?

Hey there, I really appreciate you taking time to read this and maybe help me if you can! I have decided to knit my nieces and nephews matching snowman hats for the holidays… the only trouble is the embellishments (nose and coal) on the hat are crochet. I have no idea how to crochet, nor do I know anyone who does. :zombie: Would it be possible to knit these and if so… how?? Thanks so much!

NOSE
With B, ch 12.
Row 1: Sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in each of next 3 ch, dc in each of next 3 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch.
Fasten off.

COAL (make 7)
With C, ch 4; join with sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, work 7 sc in ring, join with sl st in top of beg ch.
Fasten off.

Thanks again!!

Jerri

You could use buttons instead. Or maybe duplicate stitch.

The nose is made in a lopsided triangular shape, it starts with a couple short sts, then a taller st for 3 sts, an even taller st for 3 sts, then the medium st for 1 st, then the short st. The eyes are just small circles which you could just use buttons for.
