I’m making a wrap from a Creative Knitting magazine.
Row 4 has me puzzled and I’m not experienced with seeing the before and after. Experienced knitters have vision to know how patterns work!
It begins and ends with 12st in garter st then there’s a 12 st cable panel in the middle.
You work the garter sts and then they tell you to work the rows for the cable.
I did fine up to row 4. I know how to do it, but is it correct?
Row 3 *2/1LC, 2/1RC;rep from *once more.
Row 4 K1, p4, k2, p4, p1. This last p1 is my issue! Shouldn’t it be k1?
Here’s Row 5: P1, 2/2RC, p2, 2/2LC, p1.
Thanks for any help!
Welcome to KH!
What is the name of your pattern?
You’re probably right that the last p1 in row 4 should by a k1 but it’ll be helpful to see a photo of the wrap.
Thank you! What a great resource. I see some videos I’d like to view.
My pattern is Blizzard Wrap. It comes up when you do a search and it’s on Ravelry.
It’s pretty simple and I had some bulky yarn in my stash. Nice when watching tv or knitting on a chilly night!
Very nice and cozy. Yes, Row 4 cable panel should likely end with a k1. Try it and see how it goes with the entire cable panel.
Ok, I will do that! I’ll report back and thanks for your time. ![]()
