Is this a pattern error or me?

Hi all, new here. So happy I found this helpful site. So I will go ahead with my first “help”! I am knitting slippers and here are the instructions I am having an issue with: With A and smaller needles, cast on 53 (55, 59) sts.
Row 1: Knit to last 3 sts, [kfb] 3 times—56 (58, 62) sts. Rows 2 and 4: Knit.
Row 3: Knit to last 4 sts, [kfb] twice, [kfbf] twice—62 (64, 68) sts.
After knitting row 3 my math says I have 2 less stitches than they say. I don’t see any corrections anywhere for this pattern. Thank you!

The kfb increases one stitch each time you repeat and the kfbf increases 2sts each repeat. Row 3 has kfb twice (2sts increased) and kfbf twice (4sts inc.) for a total of 6sts inc.

Goodness, I can’t tell you how many times I read that row and missed the kfbf. Thank you!

Be more carefull next time
