Hi, I want to make project on big needles and like the effect of a yarnover in making a hole as part of the design, but when I tried it, the yarnover hole is too large in the scale I am working on. The project is on the diagonal, so your decorative increase sounds like it may be the way to go as it makes a smaller hole, but I would need an equivalent decrease for when I start reducing the size again. Suggestions?
Is there a decrease to match your decorative increase?
I’m unaware of a decrease that will make that big of a hole. You could do an increase, and then decrease an extra decrease on that row. Or, you could work one half, increasing, and then knit the other half, increasing, and graft them together when you’re done.
Ingrid, I appreciate the reply. I didn’t think of starting at both ends, that may be the best way to achieve it if I don’t come up with something else. I can play around with your other suggestion also. Thanks!
