Is it a sad thing.....?

Is it a sad thing when you look through the yarns in your stash and find a skein or two that you’ve forgotten you had?

I was looking through my yarns and found two skeins of sparkly nylon yarn that I completely forgot about, that is until I saw it. I intend to make my mother something for Christmas out of them. Maybe an easy open knit shawl? I’ll have to think about that though, but will need to make up my mind about it soon. Christmas will be here before you know it!!

Its never a sad thing to “find” yarn! :woot: I dare say your experience is a common one for many of us, including me. :wink:

A festive sparkly shawl for your Mom sounds marvelous! :thumbsup:

I love finding a surprise yarn that I’d forgotten about. I’ve yet to find yarn in the freezer, some people do.

How big are your sparkly nylon balls? What color? I think unless they’re really big balls you’d be making a very small shawl.

what about a cowl, instead, thats what i’m working on, because Christmas will be here too soon to do scarves for everyone

:shock::teehee:

Okay… Heck no it’s not bad! I have no idea what all yarn I’ve got! Lots of us that way. :lol:

The yarn is the Autumn color from the Frost line of Prism Yarns. The dye lot is #F0928 and each of the two skeins is 90 yards. Should I make a cowl with this or is their enough for a shawl?

BTW, I love how it sparkles and its very soft, almost velvety.

Frost
Very pretty. With 18 sts/4" on sz 8 needles, I’m thinking you’ll need to make something small. Maybe a hat and mittens? I think you could get both from it.

@Jan: It was a serious questions! :teehee: I guess the wording could have been a bit different.

I used the filters on Rav for suggestions. Because you have so little yardage there were mostly cowls and hats. The above link is to the cowls.

NOOO! It makes me do a happy dance!

Hey ArtChic - Here are a couple of shawls, using an Aran weight yarn, that will work with the amount of yardage that you have in your two balls.
