Is bind off stitch to shape the same as the regular bind off?

Hi -

Am knitting my first sweater (yippee!) and am wondering

Is the bind off stitch to shape the same as the bind off stitch used to end a project?

And…is there a way to search within a category for info (so I’m not posting a question that has already (I’m sure) been answered?)

Yes, it’s the same - knit 2 sts then pass the first stitch over the second one.
