I am very new to knitting, and am looking forward to learning much from all of you. My mom told me I need to introduce myself, so here goes: my name is Ginna, I live in Virginia, I have two beautiful and brilliant girls: 7 years old and 2 years old. I have knitted 3 dishcloths so far, and am now making a rectangle with the left-over yarn. I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to the leftovers!!! I see in my knitting future a beautiful grey or maybe burgundy or maybe plum colored ruana (it’s a long sweater/poncho), but for now I’ll stick to just knitting row upon row of blue cotton. It’s pretty intimidating, but I’m getting the hang of it. Thanks in advance for the help I’m sure I will need and y’all will share. Happy Knitting!!
WELCOME, GINNA! You are going to love these ladies and gents. They are great inspiration and superior help when you need it!
:cheering: Welcome to the land of yarn addiction and enabling :cheering: We understand you here. Oh and that yarn you’ve got is not leftover it’s the beginning of a stash and you will never have enough. :teehee:
I’m her mom. For any of you remember the gray cardigan I made with the large Santa face, she’s the recipient. Unfortunately Virginia has had an EXTREMELY warm season so far so it hasn’t had much wear. Today the temp outside here is 72 degress at 12:30. YUCK!
