Interpretation

My pattern reads:

Beg with K row, cont in st st, shaping sides by inc 1 at each end of next and every foll 4th row until there are 36 sts[

Duh … does that mean I do the two increases on the first row (the K row) or row two, the purl row?

My guess would be that you’ll do the increases on the knit rows. I base it on not having seen more than a few patterns that call for increases on the purlside…

Thank you so much. So given that the first (knit) row is row #1, do you think that each following 4th row will be a knit as well (so technically the first foll 4th row would be row 5?
