Interesting Gas Usage Info

I found this site where you can find out the gas mileage of your car, its environmental impact, and, how much it will cost you annually to drive your car. US only.

FuelEconomy.gov

Cool. My recumbent bicycle gets 50 miles to a hamburger

Arghhhhhhhh! I need to move to a 4 cylinder instead of this 6! That’s alot of bucks for my vehicle!

My car’s a 98, the info looks like it only goes back to 2004. :verysad:

Here’s another link where you can check older models:

Scroll down  The first link goes all the way to 85

KnittingGuy, my dh only gets 25 miles on his bike to the meal (which happens to be one way to his job!) but 100 of those types of miles each week sure save on $!

Melinda, he bikes fifty miles a day? That’s really amazing! Plus you guys homeschool . . . that’s great too.

That’s great! 25 miles each way isn’t a bad bike commute at all. Does he ride a standard road bike or a recumbent? The recumbent seats are a LOT more comfy for that sort of thing, not to mention the bents are faster.

When I’m home off the road my bent is my sole means of transportation and I love it.

Hah! That’s what I get for being all huffy and not letting my computer load the whole page! :aww:

$4511 a year!! OUCH! I so need something smaller & better on gas

:roflhard: I did the same thing. I got all ticked off because I drive a '93 vehicle and it didn’t show right away. I think I secretly have an insecurity that I drive such an old car. :teehee:
I’d buy one of those Prius things if they weren’t so ugly. The 48 mpg is a perk but driving a fugmobile isn’t. Why couldn’t they have made it nice looking? Ugh. Oh man, I hope nobody has one that reads this.
