Hi all!
I was wondering something. I want to make myself a toque using a couple of different colours. I have figured out fair isle and thought I could do up a nice pattern for myself. The question I had was can I do a rib in this style and still have it be stretchy? Should I add stitches or just do the colourwork after the brim?

Fair isle not intarsia!! :S I was reading the knitting help page and wrote this right after!LOL!

You can do the ribbing in different colors but you do have to worry about the stitches being too tight. This tutorialhas some suggestions including extra sts and a larger needle size for the ribbing.
