Instructions for a selection of sock toes, top down

A nice article from Interweave Knits, although you do have to close a lot of pop-ups:

I quite like the barn toe. An alternative to cinching the last few stitches is to graft them in the opposite direction to normal, so you get a continuous band across the top of your sock.

I think I have done all of these except for the anatomical shape. I should try that this week.

Confession: I have short, stubby toes, a high instep, wide ball of foot, pointy heels and slender ankles :frowning:

The Ugly Stepsisters have nothing on me!

Have you done Tabi socks? I call them foot mittens. I did a couple pair just to say I did it. It’s not often cold enough for me to need thick socks, wool or otherwise.

Sounds like perfect ballet feet :grinning:

I call my feet put together from mismatched parts. I think I got leftovers.

That’s very sweet of you, but I was terrible at ballet. Had fun though!

My dad has long feet and long pointy toes, and I always tell him he should do a few grand jetes around the lounge room. He is unconvinced. It is easy to do his sock toes: decrease every other round to make them nice and pointy.
