Instruction clarification

Hello Readers,

I’m currently knitting a COTTON CAMISOLE from CLASSIC KNITS by ERIKA KNIGHT. I’m stuck right here, can someone help me clarify this piece:

Dec 1 st @ armhole edge on next 9 rows, then on foll 7 alt rows, using an eyelet decrease on first of these decreases and every foll 4th row.

  1. Am I decreasing 1 st @ EVERY row for 9 rows?
  2. Am I decreasing 3 sts total in the foll 7 rows?

Thanks,
Kathy

Dec every row on the next 9 rows, then on every other row 7 times (would be over 14 rows) and finally every 4th row after that.

So the first dec is on Row 1, then the next 8 rows, and also on rows 11, 13, 15, 17, etc up to row 23, then on row 27.

Then how does, “using an eyelet decrease on first of these decreases and every foll 4th row.” play into the rows? I know what an eyelet decrease is.

How many eyelets would there be and on which rows?

THANK YOU SO MUCH BTW!

Use the eyelet decrease on the first row that you dec, then on every 4th row after.
