Since I’m wone of those wierdos who purls faster than I knit, I want to make my next sweater (Lucie from Knitty) in the round inside out–purling instead of kintting–until the armhole shaping. When I get to the waist shaping, I want to make sure I do the decreases correctly in the round, inside out.
The directions say:
K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, ssk, k1
So, should I p2tog and then sppsso? What are the “backside” equivalants to the right side incs and decs? The m1 incs would be the same, right?
If you work a P2tog on the wrong side of your work, it will slant to the right on the right side (as though you’d done a K2tog). What’s a sppsso??? In place of a SSK, I’d do a SSP.
Likewise, the M1 increases can also be done on the wrong side of your work, I think Amy even has videos somewhere showing how.
I think sppsso is slip, purl, psso.
OH!! ssp!!! I was going to slip purl psso (As krazy decoded for me–thanks! ), but that would slant the wrong way, right? I’m glad I asked!!
I got the m1 thing, was just checking!!!
Thanks for your help, friends!!
