Increasing

Hello to all. I am relatively new to knitting and working on a purse (felting). Pattern states: knit 10, pick up 20 stitches evenly along side of purse bottom, pick up 10 stitches from other end, pick up 20 stitches evely along other side. Total 60 stitches.

I have watched video clip on how to increase and understand that but I’m not sure about these instructions. Can anyone help?

You have a rectangle for the bottom right? Then along the edges you would pick up stitches meaning stick your needle (or crochet hook) through the stitch you need to pick up, wrap the yarn, and pull the stitch/yarn through. You will just be working with one needle. I hope I explained that ok.

I’m working with circular needles (as per the instructions). Think I’ll just give it a try and see what happens. If I have to take out and start over, so be it!! Thanks for the help
